Bio
She had her first conscious, spiritual experience when she was in kindergarden at the easel painting and knew that ART was her thing. Throughout her life it has been her connection to the arts (drawing, painting, writing, etc.) that has helped her explore her own psyche and come to a better understand of her place in the world in spite of tremendous upheaval. Her mom used to say that she would draw on anything she could get her hands on. Drawing and painting were the primary outlets throughout grade and high-school.
After taking courses at the University of Guelph in sciences and fine art (she previously wanted to be a vet then switched her interest to medical illustration) she decided to focus on Advertising and Design at Humber. Sherdian opened the door to computer graphics and she was hooked. Then for quite some time in graphics and video motion production she felt something stir inside. A desire to go back to the arts – the actual act of painting and drawing was sorely missed.
Daria attended ISIS for Expressive Art Therapy training. She uses the arts (drawing, painting, writing, poetry, drama, sound, music) as a tool for personal expression and transformation. It has brought her to a new level of understanding about herself and her desire to be of service to others. It is through our intuitive practice and creative divine inspirations that we can find our answers for ourselves. She wishes to share her experiences and artistic revelations in supportive, individual and community settings. She uses art to manifest patience, love and light and bring constructive, hopeful, healing experiences into the lives of others.
Our earth is changing. The vibration is changing and it is through our inner knowing and creative trust that will bring it to the highest good and highest love for all.

Artist Statement
I had my first conscious spiritual and artistic experience in kindergarten. I remember I was standing at the easel, painting when I had this sudden and overwhelming awareness – YES, this is it! I knew in that moment that art would be my life. The moment was timeless and I recall it like it happened yesterday. It always came to me so easily – so readily – I completely trusted it. I felt most comfortable with dry media throughout school using pencils, charcoal and conte. Coloured pencil crayons rocked my world in grade school and beyond. I then explored sculpture and collage in high school but always went back to my drawings. Figure drawing intrigued me and I was fascinated (and still am) of the human body and the endless shapes of light and form it produces.
I discovered digital media when it was getting ‘hot’ and delve into graphic design for a number of years. It was incredible to move ideas in motion and animation and bring life to static images. But throughout this time I strayed from the traditional media. Motherhood was the trigger to return to my solace in my art. I began to crave all sorts of creative outlets – writing, poetry, song-writing, music, photography and again, drawing and painting. I loved the mixing of strong colours with the metallics contrasting on the dark background is so dramatic and compelling – they attract me in such a comforting way. My designs are spontaneous and I rarely plan out my ideas, I just start and trust each message will come and guide me through it all. I also usually paint with incredible focus letting each moment extrapolate into the next. No time to break the momentum. They have a feeling of motion and flow mixed with an ancient symbolic nature and a hint of deco. I ached to return to it all if I did not have time to complete a piece. I would sometimes stay up for 24 hours straight just because the urges and inspiration are so strong.
It supports me – I trust it. I trust the process. I wanted something deeper. This lead to continue studies and training in Expressive Arts Therapy. It all started to come together with the arts and healing. My artwork is more symbolic in nature. Meditative and non-structural yet somewhat geometric in a more organic sense, the same way a flower can also be type of mandala. Each section of the piece comes to me instantaneously as I work around the middle – the focus – the ONE. I feel stronger now, more empowered as I keep painting. It balances well with my digital media and design.
They are messages to me that artwork can truly heal and my wish is that my artwork will be of healing to others. I want people to stop in their tracks and be captivated by it. They emit an energy that has transferred from me and carries on. I believe that energy is so powerful in this Universe and it is up to us as to whether or not we choose to receive it. The art of allowing. It generated my idea to create custom artwork for people as my own sensitivity to energy grows within myself and the understanding of others. I feel a soul synchronicity with the Earth when I do my art. I want my art to contribute to raising the vibration of our planet and to the highest love of all.
